As the man in the mask so rightly observed
"There is something terribly wrong with this country."
We are a people without faith in our government, we are betrayed by politicians who rule instead of govern. We are policed rather than policed for. We are questioned and yet our questions and concerns and fears remain unanswered.
Let us not permit this any more, because in truth it is our silent consent that has placed our lives into the hands of those in whom we simply do not believe.
Let us change things, let our voices be heard. We are not a government, we are not a organised political movement, we have no agenda, we are simply individuals, all of us, and individuals always hold the power. Truth be told, if you want to change the world all you simply have to do is choose to.
Let us borrow a rather convenient ready-made symbol from the product of mass media. To offer a gentle reminder to our government that they are the servant of the people and that we do not believe their lies nor accept their fears as our own. So in keeping with the reclamation of our voice, let us one and all mark this november the 5th with a scattering of scarlet V's. To tell those to whom we have lent power that we are no longer afraid of them or their imagined fears and that we will no longer be silent.
So be bold, be creative, be heard.
Scatter the sign upon the property of the state. But give them no excuse to write us off as mindless vandals or hooligans. Let them instead wake on the 5th to a vocal reminder from a thinking populace of just who should be afraid.
Let them hear us all speaking with deafing calm and purpose.
"This is our country, and we are not afraid"
So what to do?
On the night of the 4th go out and generously apply blood red V's as so wonderfully suggested by the film onto and in view of state property. After all it is property the state holds in trust for the people, it is in fact OUR property and it is with the representatives of the state, our servants, that we have an argument.
The manner of the V is a matter for creativity but give them no excuse to call us thugs or vandals, so above all be aesthetic and civilised.
Mark government property and government property only.
This is not a revolution, it is simply a statement.
"We are unhappy with you and your work to date, change your ways or be replaced"
Also do copy and link this text far and wide, and write down a large "V" on a piece of paper and send it to your MP.
